Motel Sora offers a mixed bag experience, and as a history teacher with a knack for exploring cultural landscapes, I appreciate both luxury and value in accommodations. The rooms are cosy and clean, though I found the two separate beds instead of the requested double a bit disappointing. It's essential for travelers to know that noise from the street can sometimes disrupt the peaceful vibe, as it did during my stay. Housekeeping was efficient, making my stay comfortable, and the flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi were a plus for evening relaxation. I cannot recommend the restaurant. The food lacked freshness and authenticity-definitely far from traditional Romanian fare, which disappointed my culinary expectations. On the bright side, the motel is conveniently located just a 13-minute drive from Sovata's center, and there's free parking available. While it might not be a luxurious escape, Motel Sora provides essential amenities and friendly staff, making it a reasonable choice for travelers who prioritize budget. For those seeking deeper connections to local history and culture, consider exploring dining options beyond the motel. It presents a practical, if not spectacular, option for a stay.
